Sound issues after some months off the pc

I'll tried the trick of adjust the SFX Channels in the CFG but didn't not correct the problem.

Suggetions, i'll doubt than my sound card is the problem since i'll hear all the sounds of animations, firing of the ships of 1 Remastered, just the pulsar gunship than i'll cannot hear the firing sound effect.

Any solution to HW1 Classic Mission 10 bug?

I’m playing Remastered HW1 Classic right now and I’m faceing the known bug that I can’t complete mission 10. Is there any work around for that bug so far? I tried two times but it wouldn’t work. I also wrote to gearbox a couple of days ago but no answer yet.

FPS dropping gradually over time, settings doesn´t matter

Graphics settings, GPU settings, mods and even separate computer, nothing seem to stop it. Mods only make it faster. CPU and GPU ar running at about 30% capacity when drop becomes noticeable. GPU/CPU workload is substantial, no matter the FPS.
On first machine, I have i7-4710MQ, 970M, 16GB RAM and SSD for OS, on second PC I have i5-4690K, 980 and also 16GB RAM with M.2 SSD for OS. The speed of FPS degradation is somewhat slower on desktop PC compared to laptom (970M), but happens anyway. Both on Win10 64-bit.

As I said, I tried basically everething, from reinstalling GPU drivers, isabling CPU hyperthreading, disabling V-sync in Nvidia control panel, reinstalling the game several times, enabling and disabling mods.
Even on absolutely lowest settings, game after cca 30 minutes will run at about 25-30 FPS on rig with GTX 980.
It boggles my mind.
I think it is either RAM or VRAM issue, but even tuning textures to absolute lowest settings will not prevent this from happening.
Here´s the only error log I found in the game files.
I noticed just one weird thing, at the beginning of the error log, it says that OS is “XP?” and physical memory is 1GB, even though 16 is normally detected in system overview.
If you know anything that could point me in the direction to the solution, please help.

[Troubleshooting] Custom Key Bindings - Shift Modifier (v1.3 beta)

Is there a way I can manually patch v1.3 beta with the updated control configuration from v2.1? or it there any known fixes for this issue in v1.3 beta.

Any help would be much appreciated

Missing Sound Effects

I have verified files, I have reinstalled the game, tried making a new profile and nothing.

Due to the small size of the classics, people wouldn’t have an issue with hardware space (having to uninstalled to install a new game and vica versa) it wouldn’t need to be multiplayer compatible like the remastered version, just the campaign and cpu skirmish mode for people to enjoy. There would be Homeworld players out there that would have foregone buying the remastered because they have a disc drive and the original discs, but this would eliminate the issue of not having a drive and getting the games without needing the remastered version (as i said the old school players would enjoy it)
I thought since you have everything already made (Except maybe a launcher) it would be a nice addition to the series, a classic pack if you will.

Remastered causes computer to hard restart

The computer itself is only a year old.

Ive tried every solution ive seen online including reinstalling the game and “run with graphic processor” but it doesn’t seem i have the ability to do that option in any way. And all drivers are up to date.

Someone mentioned “running the files from the desktop to bypass ram” but i have no idea how to do that because steam just reinstalls the game to the steam folder.

If anyone have had this problem, have any solutions and/or have any questions it would be much appreciated.

The “ClassInitialize” call referred to is located in default.lua and refers (or used to refer) to the ClassInitialize function in classdef.lua via a dofilepath. I cannot imagine why there is an error at all as I have touched neither the default nor classdef files since last successfully loading the game. The files that I was tweaking, just prior to the error, were hgn_mothership_parade.lua, build.lua, research.lua and my mod’s ‘deathmatch’ lua gamefile. Although I have attempted to ‘undo’ all changes I have made, the error remains.

I know that there are some real experts here that are far more knowledgable than I. Might someone assist me in troubleshooting this difficulty?

AI Pathfinding Issue?

Remastered will not launch at all in Windows 10

Hello all,

Within the last two weeks, I’ve found Homeworld RM will no longer launch once clicked from the launcher. HW1R, HW2R, and HW2C will all exhibit the behavior of just closing the launcher after clicked without giving any error. HW1C is the only game that will launch. IIRC, nothing has changed in my setup recently since it stopped launching. I am at my wits end trying to figure out what the problem is. Everything is updated to whatever the latest drivers are. This is on the Steam version of the game.

My setup:
8700k
3080
32gb ram
1tb 970 evo plus
1tb sn750
Windows 10 Pro

Things I’ve tried:
-Reinstalling the vc redistributables to no avail.
-Trying to manually start the game from the directory gives an 0xc000007b error.
-Verifying files in Steam (nothing is reported as missing)
-reinstalling multiple times to different drives

I took a look in Event Viewer and this is the error that is given when trying to launch any of the 3 games:
